SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

The General Ledger (GL) Senior Accountant is one of the key roles within the Financial Accounting team responsible for delivering month-end accounting entries that impacts Balance Sheets and P&L. This position plays a critical part in the company's month-end close process resulting in complete and accurate financial statements. The GL Senior Accountant is responsible for booking, review and completion journal entries, analysis and accuracy of BS reconciliations, solving other relevant accounting issues in compliance with local legislation, US GAAP standards.

You Will:

• Preparing and posting complex journal entries for company accounts, ensuring information is accurate and up to date (intercompany, fixed assets, others)
• Perform a Month End Closing activities (Deferrals, Accruals, FX revaluation and others)
• Reconciling balance sheet and income statement accounts to general ledger; researching more complex discrepancies and determining appropriate course of action.
• Developing spreadsheets for account analysis and journal entries in order to keep records organized and standardized.
• Administration of VAT returns and other reporting to local tax authorities
• Cooperate with internal and external partners as auditors, tax advisors, local authorities, and other departments
• Coordinating, preparing, consolidating, submitting, and distributing monthly financial statements in order to provide management with information on financial accounts.
• Conducting more complex studies and submitting recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation to management.
• Documenting, and coordinating implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
• You may provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced colleagues.
• Participating in diverse projects in order to provide an expertise.
• Support internal and external audits
• Cooperate closely with General Ledger Manager/Team Leads on various tasks and projects
• Participate in special projects by supporting management and the project team in various tasks
• Engage in process improvement initiatives
• Planning, conducting, and participating in analysis of complex cost assignments, ensuring that all assigned projects adhere to accepted cost accounting standards.
• You may provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced colleagues.

You'll Need:

• 2+ of accounting experience as a GL accountant
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Experience in a multinational corporation
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• Understand Financial Statements & closing activities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• Advanced oral and written communication skills verbal in English
• Be Team Player and supportive
• Ability to set priorities and work under time pressure with can-do attitude.
• MS Office skills, advanced level in MS Excel
• Knowledge of Accounting system Navision or SAP is an advantage
