Marketing Segment Manager for Financial Services

We are looking for a full-rounded marketer with strong entrepreneurial spirit and the will to make things happen. Key responsibilities are to design, manage, drive and evaluate initiatives for the segment of financial services (e.g., Tax refund, Factoring, Insurance etc.), with end-to-end responsibility for the segment's P&L and performance (as defined by the organization's strategic, financial and market objectives).

What kind of work is awaiting you?

  • To design, manage and kick-start value propositions, marketing mix, and marketing campaigns for the assigned segment OR product categories, with the purpose of driving the necessary activities to achieve the segment’s financial and strategic objectives
  • To define the segment’s marketing strategy, in alignment with corporate strategy and objectives
  • To align the relevant organisation (e.g., marketing, sales, operations) on yearly segment priorities and map out a corresponding proposition portfolio roadmap
  • To create or lead creation of a Business Case supporting each major proposition and initiate formal approval process
  • To forecast and analyze proposition and overall segment’s performance, with accountability on accuracy and performance versus target
  • To accurately and timely brief the relevant functional units and teams on all upcoming initiatives
  • To define product core positioning, key messaging, and product development needs
  • To sign off on division’s roadmaps (e.g., marketing plans, campaign management roadmaps)
  • To monitor the competition, market trends, and elicit sales and customer feedback, in order to sustain competitive advantage through superior marketing propositions
  • To build up segment insight by conducting extensive analysis on an ongoing basis, including deep-diving on segment and subsegment characteristics, potential, customer needs and behavior, etc.
  • To provide cross-functional leadership and assist / influence decision making from senior management and other key stakeholders in the organization
  • To represent the segment in cross-functional and cross-border relevant projects (e.g., CRM, data readiness)

  • At least 5 years of relevant marketing experience
  • Strong know-how of segment management and customer value proposition generation
  • Creativity and customer focus paired with solid analytical skills and business acumen
  • Strong commercial approach to product proposition management, and vivid entrepreneurial spirit
  • Good knowledge of relevant segment / business units preferred
